Series #3:  WOVEN, FLAT-DARTED

The imagery in this type of work is created by stitching darts into narrow, flat strips of fabric then layering or overlapping them.  The fabric is a tightly woven warp-faced plain weave that maintains its integrity in an altered shape made by the darts.  The works are primarily single sided, but could be adapted to be free hanging away from a wall.  This technique can be combined with twisted strips configuration.
