Series #1:  WARP-FACED PLAIN WEAVE

The weave used for the works in this series makes the pieces double-sided.  The panels can be installed against a wall or free-hanging.  The weave structure lends itself best to rectangular shaped pieces of fabric that are enhanced by striped patterns.  Variations in surface design can be created either in the dying or weaving process.  The fabric has a ribbed surface that can vary in tightness, thickness, and weight depending on the choice of materials.
